Im running the SoF client and for what ever reason I am experiencing a lot of crashes today. I am unable to zone and it took various tries to even login to the server today. I dont know if this is just a bug in my client or what. Any feed back is appreciated.

The issues with logging in are probably related to the recent blank server list issues with the Login Server.

The issues with crashing while zoning may be due to world disconnects if you have been seeing yellow messages about that in your chat window. I have been working on some new tool stuff which queries the server database and sometimes that can cause the world to crash or disconnect and reconnect/restart again. When that happens, it means that if you zone, you will crash as you have to reconnect to the new world session. Sorry if it was my work causing the crashes. I think I should be done with the stuff that might possibly cause that issue. Reply if you keep having zone crash issues.

Crashing issues were random. I have 4 computers and sometimes 2 would crash and 2 would zone. Other times it could be 1 and 3... It was completely random from what I could tell. My 1 SoF client seamed to be the worst, many times crashing to dektop at random times just sitting.

So trev idk what exactly youve been working on, but over the last 4 days the server has seen major crash issues while zoning or just logging in. We will crash repeatedly from character select to the world and while zoning from zone to zone. Not sure if this is because of code you've been working on or a general server error but please look into this.

Here is the list of changes since the last revision we were using when everything seemed ok connection-wise:

Code:
==03/01/2010==
Trevius: Added 2 new optional arguments to quest::gmsay(text, [color, send_to_world?]) - allows changing color and sending to world or just zone.
Trevius: Normal Saylinks should now work without requiring a target for proximity says.  Silent saylinks still require a target.
Trevius: Added a check for valid slots when moving items from 1 slot to another.
Trevius: NPCs using 2 Hand Pierce weapon models can be set to skill 99 in the prim_melee_type field of the npc_types table to show the correct attack animations and messages.

==02/26/2010==
Derision: Fix for crash in Mob::DetermineSpellTargets.
Congdar: fixed bot right-click inspect window title bar shows player name instead of target bot name.

==02/25/2010==
Secrets: Added new Perl::Client command, ReadBook(Book Text, Type), to allow sending a book/scroll to clients via quests.  Type 0 = scroll, type 1 = book.
Trevius: GMs with #gm on should now be able to /target NPCs across the zone again.
joligario: Fixed typo relating to Pet pursuit speed in MobAI.cpp
joligario: Manual WP Add fix.
joligario: Fixed duplicate declaration of command_wp in command.h

==02/24/2010==
Derision: SoF: TRADER/BUYER will now be displayed as appropriate in /who for SoF clients.

==02/23/2010==
Trevius: Added new Perl::Mob quest object SendAppearanceEffect(effect1, effect2, effect3, effect4, effect5) which can send up to 5 particle effects at once.
realityincarnate: spells requiring dragon/giant targets will now work on velious raid targets

I have reviewed each of those changes and do not see anything that should even remotely effect connection states or cause crashes while connecting or zoning.

I also rebooted my modem and router last night to be sure that it wasn't part of the problem. This leaves the possible causes as either being the Login Server itself, or maybe it is time to reboot my Linux server completely and see if that helps.

Tonight, I will do a full reboot of the Linux server and see if that helps. If that does not help, I can try reverting to a previously known stable version of the EQEmu source. If that still doesn't work, then I can really only blame the Login Server itself. Even though the Login Server isn't supposed to effect players after they are already logged into the server, I think it is possible that it still can. The Login Server does keep track of each server and how many players are in zones and has some master admin access that could potentially cause issues as well I think.

I am not sure what the actual problem is with the Login Server at this point, but there were definitely some issues with it still the last time I checked it. I believe Rogean has at least one fix for the blank server list issue, so once that is in, it may help. Lately, the LS has also been having issues which I believe are being caused by it's hosting as certain servers are having a hard time staying connected at all. PEQ has even gone as far as to setup a secondary backup Login Server for their own accounts. If I am unable to resolve this issue any other way, I may need to setup a private Login Server as well. I would really like to have one running either way, but the code to do it is currently not very polished. Also, if I did setup dual Login Server connections, I would have to spend a bunch of time to write up ways to register the private Login Server accounts to match them up with the public Login Server accounts so you can all access your accounts from either Login Server. PEQ has a system like that setup, so I might have to see how they are doing it to get some ideas.

Either way, I am sure we can get this issue resolved. Hopefully it won't take more than a day or 2. Please continue to provide details on this issue when you see it. If some sense can be made of them, it will be easier to find a good solution.

Is anyone still getting the blank server list issue when logging in, or having any issues at all when logging into the EQEmu Public Login Server?

Well, I did a full reboot of my Linux server which hadn't been restarted in a few months. Hopefully that will help. I have been noticing more LS issues tonight though. I also noticed some packet loss issues in the middle of the night, but it is not uncommon for ISPs to do maintenance in the middle of the night sometimes.

I will keep looking into more possible causes, but let me know if it seems worse or better. Next I will probably try reverting the code to see if that completely fixes it or not if it isn't fixed already.

So I'm still getting crashes, at least one of my 4 while zoning, if not more. It might be an LS issue. Today the LS seemed to be completely down immediately following 3/4 crashing after a zone. It stayed down for 5 minutes or so then came back up.

Yeah, the LS is being very sketchy this morning. I really hope Rogean can get that resolved. I may try reverting the server source later today to see if there is any difference so we can know where not to point the finger at least :P

From asking in ooc tonight, it sounds like the zone crash issue has mostly disappeared for the moment. That tells me that it isn't related to the version of source code we are running.

I think that leaves only a couple possible causes. One of the possible causes is the Login Server, which sounds a bit odd to be the cause, but it may be possible. The other possibility I can think of is that it may be that my internet connection was acting up or dropping packets for whatever reason, and causing clients to miss required packets while they were zoning which causes a crash. But, if the packet loss was an issue, clients would be getting bugged to the point that they had to relog to correct the bug (unable to cast or attack or maybe even crash), even while just staying in 1 zone the whole time. Since I didn't see any reports of that happening, it makes me think that packet loss is not the issue. Though, I do know that there was a short connection issue with my ISP last night for a bit, but that may have just been an ISP maintenance, not a 4 day ordeal :P

Please make sure to keep me updated if this problem is still on-going or if it comes back really bad again.

Mithras was saying that his issue is still there this morning. So, it is sounding like only some players experience this issue. If that is the case, it could be 1 of 2 things as far as I can think of; First, it may be related to the new spell file somehow, so you might want to try switching back to the old one for now and restart EQ and see if that helps at all. If that doesn't fix it, and if you get a crash while connecting to the server (from the server select screen), then see if you can find your Everquest debug file and post it here or something. The debug file is located in your EQ folder under the /logs folder there and is named dbg.txt. Just open that and past the text in a reply here or PM to me or whatever. I don't need a ton of them, but maybe 1 or 2 could help to figure this out.

The second possible cause could be maybe something caused by one of the new zones that was released. I am not sure how it could be causing it, but that it seems to be affecting end-game players more than others from what I can tell. Maybe a something new is being done there that is causing this issue, or maybe it is an instance problem, I am not sure.

If you are not an end game player and don't have the new beta spell file yet, but are still seeing more crashes while zoning than you normally do, please reply here. I am just trying to find a pattern to help isolate the cause. The more details I have on the issue, the easier it is for me to know where and what to look at.

I can tell from my own personal experience last 3-4 days I have had a lot of trouble zoning. Prior to which I never had an issue. I have only been going in and out of the new zone mostly. I am not sure what the issue could really be, I don't know how the new zone itself could cause these problems there isn't any crazy code in it and its not even filled with that many npcs ect, and I doubt its the instancing cause ive used instancing in multiple other zones before. I don't know though.

Yeah, I don't think it would be an issue, but just trying not to write any possibility off.

Trev the crashing while zoning is still ridiculous. Ill crash from zone in from character screen a lot as well as zoning. Im not sure whats causing it. To zone most of the time i have to minimize all windows except for the one I'm zoning wait for that to zone then zone another. its pretty annoying.

I crash while loading in / zone alot too, ive tried on both SoF and Titanium and it seems almost identical in # of zones/logins to crashing.

Hmm, I am running out of things to try from this side atm. I tried disabling the new online character list and server status tools from the main page to make sure those weren't related to this issue. They have been disabled for a couple of days now, so I guess that wasn't it either.

I will do a code revert tonight and see if that helps resolve the problem. If that doesn't help, it may be time for me to try setting up a dual login server setup so we can have our own private Login Server that might help connectivity.

You mean like we would login straight to stormhaven instead of having to go through the server list?

I mean you would change your eqhost.txt file to point to SH instead of the EQEmu one. There would still be a server list there, but Storm Haven would be the only server on the list.

Ah that sounds interesting, but wouldnt it put more of a burden on the server computer then if its hosting the login server too?

The private LS really only handles minimal load and traffic. It really only comes into play when players are first logging in and selecting the server, which isn't long at all. The server already only uses a small percentage of CPU, so running an LS as well shouldn't effect it at all. Even any increased bandwidth usage would be minimal. One nice benefit of having a private LS as well would be that players could then login even if the public LS is having issues or is down.

I really don't want to have to setup the dual Login Server system, because it would mean some considerable work to try to get some special account registration stuff running similar to what PEQ is now using. But, if it comes down to that being the only solution left, I will certainly give it a shot. One way or another, I want to get this disconnect issue resolved.

Trev,
I know these issues can be hard to ts sometimes and I thank you for trying. It has been intermittent the last several days for me but today and tonight it was a mess. Not just crashing at zone but dieing and crashing to desktop much more frequently; laggy, long zone ins, crashes when zoning, crashes when logging in etc. I just wanted to let you know it is still a mess

EDITTED -> I just tried to log in and buff three times and each time I started buffing -- lagged out and either got kicked or had to quit game ... I hope you get it figured out, Trev. Thanks for the hard work :)

Just reverted the server back to what it was running before the problem started. It is now on a version of source code from Feb 22, and I don't think the problem was noticed until the beginning of March.

So, keep an eye out for the zoning or logging in issues to happen while on this code. I will leave it on this code for a day or 2 or until the problem is seen again. If the zoning disconnects are still happening on this revision, I will just update the server to the latest version again. At least this way, we should be able to tell if any recent source changes could have been the cause. Though, I don't think any would be related.

Ok, since reverting the code didn't seem to help at all, the server is now running the latest version from the SVN again.

While the server was down, I went ahead and took some time to do some maintenance on the Database. I optimized all tables and converted some of the major tables to use the InnoDB engine. This should at least boost the server performance a little, and maybe even a noticeable amount. It may be possible that the zoning and crashing issues were due to the database just needing some maintenance. I had never done optimizing on the tables before and it has been running for over 2 years, so I am sure it was well needed. I don't know if the server's tables are quite big enough to cause problems even without being optimized from time to time, but I will probably start optimizing the tables from time to time just to keep performance at it's best.

I can definitely tell a huge difference in the performance of some of my DB tools that run some queries that normally take a while. Now they return results almost instantly, so there is a good chance players may notice improved performance.

I will be a bit surprised if the DB cleanup will correct the zoning and crashing issues, but if it does, that would be great. Make sure to reply here if you are still seeing the same issues as before.

I don't know if this is related, but I had something strange happen just now.

I had just crashed while zoning, but when I attempted to log back in I had an empty character select. It looked like just a new account.

This may be something related to the buggy log-in server. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

Monday 9:00am ish PST

I got to charactor select ok, after selecting charactor and clicking login, screen changes like it is loading, and just hangs there. I hit CNTL-ALT-DEL and see everquest is "Not Responding"

This is what was happening last week (Friday) and would happen while zoning. It happens randomly with both Titanium and SoF clients. It is random by machine as well (4 different computers at home, 2 different computers at work)

Thanks for the logs, Bonegnasher. Those are helpful. Seems you aren't ever fully getting connected to the zone when that issue happens. I am thinking it is something to do with Ports.

I have just updated my router firmware to a release that is a year newer than the last one it was running. The upgrade went smoothly. Let me know if you notice any improvement with the zoning/logging in crash issue now.

If that doesn't fix it completely, the next step I will try tonight is to restore my router back to factory defaults and set it up again. From some of the troubleshooting I did with Kayen earlier, it is sounding like there are issues either with the database running slow, or connections through my ISP running slow. Either way, We can rule out for sure if it is the router causing the problem or not. If resetting the current router back to defaults doesn't fix it completely, the next thing I will try is to revert back to our old router that should work perfectly fine. Then, we will at least either solve the problem, or rule out one more possible cause.

One step at a time, we are ruling out possibilities, so hopefully it won't be too much longer until this problem is completely resolved. The only upside to all of this is that I am doing a bunch of stuff that was probably good to be doing anyway. So, once this issue is fixed, the server should be running pretty smoothly :)

So far this morning, its been very smooth. Login's were FAST, and I have not lost connection yet (knock on wood)...

I think you may have found and fixed it!!!

I know last night I played until 12:30 AM CST (this morning) and it was horrible. I tried to get my toons logged in successfully for a MM run in DS and after 4-5 attempts just gave up and went with three toons. Even with three toons, two crashed out when we had the add down to like 10% and were dead upoon re-logging. All day yesterday, I had issues and so did many of the folks who were grouping with me in DS. It was so bad that after every death or zone, we lost toons to desktop.

Today ~11:45 AM CST, I have tried to log in a single toon. He was still in the dining room with MM so I gated him out. It crashed me to the login screen. I tried logging back in with my single toon and I got to the character select screen and it is blank; I can only see the names of the characters. Sometimes, you can't see even that. So, I went ahead and tried to log him back in. It was painfully slow and just seems to sit there and never login all the way to server. Eventually, it just kicks me out to the login screen.

If there is anything I can do to help with the troubleshooting, please let me know. I work in IT and know how painful it can be to troubleshoot such an intermittent problem. Thanks again for all your efforts, Trev. :)

A couple of items to note:

I am using Titanium, not SoF as in the subject header for this discussion. I have tried multiple times on different toons and have not been able to login succssfully. Occasionally, it gives the message about possibly needing to run the update patch process when I am trying to login.

I have tried connecting to other servers today to see if this issue follows me to the other servers. I have successfully created toons and logged into other servers with no issue. I have not tried to run multiple toons on them yet; just seeing if I can login to them and it appears that I can.

Hope this information helps you 8-)

Trev,
I don't know what you did recently. But after Stormhaven server was out of the server select list for a bit, I have been able to login and zone without issue. I am still testing zoning with two toons but something seems to have made things better. :D

Spoke too soon, Trev. I was able to login and zone a few times but now I get kicked out again. Also was in MM fight and died and crashed to desktop. Just trying 2 toons but the issue seems to be back....

For me personally Ive been running SoF still and noticed that when I zone I do not get a load screen or even a Entering "said zone" on my screen. It will just display the screen with my mouse doing the windows 7 waiting circle. I give it a few mins and it zones or crashes. There have been more zones than crashes, but just a little bug i noticed. Not sure if thats client side or server side.

** Well today I tried to zone to nexus from guildhall and crashed out. Seems like my luck was better yesterday.

Well keep trucking away trev, to help you figure this out.

Thanks for the info guys. Yeah, I switched the router back to factory defaults around 1PM CST today, and set all of the settings back up again. I know it then lost connectivity again to my ISP shortly after I did that, but then it seemed to come back up ok after that. It will run like it is currently set until tonight, so keep giving updates if you see problems or if it seems to be resolved now.

I am just doing 1 change at a time so I can rule out 1 thing after another until the problem is finally solved. At least doing it this way, every day we should be getting closer to a resolution as at some point I am bound to find what the cause is and fix it. Tonight, if the problem is still happening at all, I plan to swap out the router to the old router we were running before. They are both basically the same router, but the one we are on now has more RAM, and performs better (or did anyway). If swapping out the router doesn't fix it, at least it will rule the router out completely as being a potential cause of the problem.

If swapping out the router doesn't work, I will switch back to the current router and then swap out the modem with the old modem we used to use. The old modem is old, but it still works. It just doesn't support the latest DOCSIS that my ISP uses, which is why I swapped it out in the first place. All that means is that it can't get quite as good of speeds as the current one does. But, by swapping it out, I can be certain that it is also not part of the problem. I guess I can swap out all ethernet cables between the router and the server as well just to rule those out at the same time.

Once that is all done over the next 2 days, it should either resolve the problem or at least rule out those 2 network components as a possible cause.

After that, I think the best thing to try next will be to move the entire database and quests over to my Windows PC and have you guys try running on it for a while so we can rule out the server hardware/config itself.

If the problem still exists then, the options to try will be running shorter and will be harder to resolve, but I do have some ideas. One idea would be to try running an older version of the server database and quests from a few months ago just for 1 day. I would just wipe all of the characters on the old backup version and let you guys run some test with boxing and what-not and see how it goes. That would definitely rule out the server database, code and quests as being possible causes. I would then just switch everything back to the current backups, so nothing would be lost at all from what you guys currently have.

The last option after all of that will be for me to call my ISP and see if they can look into it. I am saving that as the last option, because I think it will be nearly impossible to get them to even find the issue if it is their fault, and to get them to resolve it. If all else fails, I will look into switching ISPs if I absolutely have to, but that is a last resort. I don't think I have anything else available in my area currently with nearly the speeds I can get from Charter right now.

So, that is the game-plan for now. I hope to have this either resolved or much closer to resolution by the end of the week if possible. I will be very happy when this issue is finally gone and I am sure you all will be as well :)

I have been trying, periodically, to connect today. Been really busy but trying to connect when I have a few minutes. It is very sporadic; sometimes I can login sometimes I can't. No errors, just "blip" back to login screen. Still seeing intermittent issues with zone crashing; death crashing. Sometimes you see the splash screen and nothing really happens for several minutes and then you are back at login. Really befuddling. :? I seem to be able to login and stay in a zone with a single toon. As long as I do not zone, I stay logged in. If I zone or fight and die -- POOF --back to desktop/login.

I will try more when I have a bit more time later tonight and post my results.

Still having a lot of trouble here. While zoning into timeb 2 of 3 chars I had on crashed. Then zoning to do naggy i lost 2 of 3 once again & have tried about 5 times to get them back in so far. Client just goes unresponsive after char select, and eventually get dumped back to login.

Thanks guys, I think that is enough info to safely say that the problem is not resolved yet. I will try the router swap tonight and see if that resolves it. It is too bad this issue is sporadic, otherwise it wouldn't take so long to test each change I make. Currently, just giving them about a day per change should be well enough time to tell with fair certainty if the problem was resolved or not.

Sorry if you guys all got disconnected about 40 minutes ago. I went home for diner and ran some pings and speed tests and found that at this time of night I seem to be getting no more than 1MB upload speed and was seeing about 1% packetloss when pinging out to the internet.

This pointed to the issue being related to my ISP directly, so I gave them a call. They advised me that Charter is in the process of upgrading services in my area from 20Mb down 2Mb up to 25Mb down 3Mb up for no extra cost. This is a good thing once that change is all done, but I was advised that they are currently in a transition state with doing the upgrades and I am pretty sure this transition state is what has been causing all of the zoning and logging in crashes. The lady I spoke with advised that they should be done in 2 weeks or less, but wasn't able to give me any solid date of completion.

So, it seems to me that they are probably re-routing a lot of traffic while trying to do this upgrade. This is probably leading to my service being over-subscribed temporarily, meaning too many customers of my ISP are all using a shared limited amount of bandwidth until they get the upgrade completed.

I have already been seeing 3Mb upload speeds late at night when I have checked it, but this is the first time I had a chance to really test it during peak evening hours. Hopefully it won't take them too long to get the upgrade completed and if there are still issues after that, I will definitely be working with them to resolve it ASAP.

Anyway, while I was on the phone with this lady, she rebuilt my connection, which I am sure caused you all to get disconnected, or at least most of you. She didn't ask me before she did it, so I didn't have time to put out a warning. Sorry about that :P Since she did that rebuild on my connection, I am no longer seeing packetloss at all so far. It is possible that what she did has fixed it at least for now. Or, it is also possible that we are just outside of the normal peak of this issue.

So, please reply here if the problem seems to be completely fixed or if you still see it happening as bad as before. At least it sounds like we may finally have the real cause of the issue. Unfortunately, it may take as much as 2 weeks before they get it completely resolved.

Nevermind, it looks like the packetloss is back again. I think we are just going to have to wait this one out until the upgrade is completed. I am going to see if I can find anymore information on it.

Thanks, Trev. I played until about 12:30 CST again last night and the problem was indeed still there. I understand how ISPs an be (I personally HATE Time Warner for so many reasons I can't even list them all here :-) We will deal with it :D

When they do get around to completing the upgrade, if you need a test bunny, just let me know :)

Part of the upgrades Charter is doing is to upgrade from DOCSIS 2.0 to the new DOCSIS 3.0. I had thought the modem I bought last year was already DOCSIS 3.0, and didn't even bother checking it until tonight. Turns out that it only goes up to 2.0 after-all... While the 2.0 modems should be plenty for most people to get the speeds for the new Charter upgrades, I did some research and it seems that we need a 3.0 compatible modem for optimal results. So, I went ahead and ordered one and it will probably be here sometime between 2 to 3 days. Hopefully, that will resolve any issues we are currently seeing with bandwidth.

The main benefit of using a 3.0 compatible modem is that instead of just 1 upstream and 1 downstream channel, it has 4 upstream and 4 downstream channels. Currently, I think Charter only makes use of 1 upstream channel even after the new upgrade, and I am not sure, but maybe 2 downstream channels or so. By splitting the channels like they do in DOCSIS 3.0, it means you get a more consistent traffic rate. Basically, it is like having a 4 lane highway of cars going at a nice pace so there is less traffic/congestion, or a 1 lane highway of cars flying along and getting backed up in traffic/congestion more often. I won't know the full stream setting info until I have the new modem setup, though. I am mostly hoping there is more than 1 upload, because that is what the server depends on the most, and that is what is being effected the most at peak hours currently. Really, I am not sure that the extra stream channels will be much benefit to the server, but who knows?

The main thing I am concerned with that makes me want a 3.0 compatible modem is that it is supposedly much better at handling the connection due to some of the new standards/features in DOCSIS 3.0. This should mean increased performance, hopefully much better bandwidth at peak hours, and even considerably more stability than the current 2.0 modem we are on now.

If this new modem doesn't resolve the problem, we will have no choice but to finish waiting the rest of the possibly 2 weeks for the upgrade to complete (if it hasn't already). If we continue to see problems like we have been after that, I will be making some long phone calls to Charter for sure!

BTW, I want to say thanks to the contributors here who have made making a purchase like this possible to do without dipping into my own pockets for it. It is great to be able to take steps like this ASAP when needed. The new modem may not be required, but I have a feeling it will make an improvement with connectivity, and it definitely can't hurt :)

We contribute because you provide awesome customer service and frequently get back to us ASAP with reports about bugs/server/etc. Thanks for all the hard work trev as we all get through this crashing issue. For me personally I have seen less crashes but will crash every now and then. Hopefully back to normal soon.

Trev - They are making you pay to upgrade? Thats some bullshit, if you already are paying for the better service which requires an upgraded modem you shouldn't be required to pay. Hell I'm on pretty basic Charter cable and I've had a ton of issues with my modem (anyone who played with me up until a month ago knows i used to go LD multiple times an hour) and when I most recently called they told me to come by and pickup a DOCSIS 3.0 modem for free. Thats ridiculous that they offered it to me for free and I don't need it, yet you are required to pay.

Out of curiousity while we are on the subject of Charters bullshit. Anyone have any clue as to why this situation happens? I was able to resolve my mass LD's by streaming video. I stream video a ton and realized that I was only going LD when I didn't have anything streaming. Now I pretty much keep an atdhe/channelsurfing channel open at all times and I never go LD as long as its up. Why would more stress on my connection cause it to be stable?

Well, I am paying for the modem because I don't want to pay extra monthly to rent a modem from Charter. Normally I keep my modems for years, so renting them would end up costing me more in the long run than buying my own. Plus, by buying my own, I can get the one I want that is quality vs the free crap they give out for rent sometimes.

As for your streaming issue, that is a bit weird. The only thing I can think of is that by streaming, you have a constant keep-alive running on your connection that may be keeping your connection from switching to another path or dropping or something. Maybe they have a quick DHCP release/renew where you are located and certain routers don't work well during a release/renew. It could be that the streaming prevents the release/renew from causing your connection to drop somehow. But, that is all just pure guessing. Also, if you haven't upgraded to your 3.0 modem yet, I would recommend trying that and see if that corrects your connection issues so you don't have to stream anymore. I think 3.0 handles certain things differently than 2.0 does, so a 3.0 modem should be much more stable than your old 2.0 one.

Just an FYI, that unless something goes wrong, the new modem should arrive later today (Friday)! I plan to swap in the new one as soon as I get it, so hopefully it will be just in time for the Friday night peak, which will be the perfect test to see if it makes a difference, and how much of a difference :D

I love it when Newegg ships from their TN warehouse. It always gets here in 1 day even with 3 day shipping :)

Ok, so the new Docsis 3.0 modem is finally installed and working. Apparently there are still some upgrades going on in my area, so I am still not getting the max speed I should be right now, but hopefully this new modem should resolve most of the connection issues. Otherwise, Charter is supposed to be done with the maintenance/upgrades in this area within the next week or so (no clear date from them).
